The Berry Picker's Rights

The Berry Picker is one who collect berries or other natural products in Finland's forests and the Operator is one who buys the berries from the collector in this case. The collector or berry picker is not an employee of the the Operator. .

The Berry Collector has the right to:

      1) sell the collected natural products to any entity of their choice;
      2) move from accommodation and food service arranged by the operator of the natural product collection industry to other accommodation and food service of his choice, if the purpose of entering the country does not change;
      3) decide on the time of entry and exit;
      4) decide on the collection schedule yourself.

An operator in the field of natural product collection has the obligation to: :

      1) instruct the collector:
      2) collect or buy natural products in Finland;
      3) monitor the harvest situation and contribute to the collection in such a way that the collector has the opportunity to make as much profit as possible;
      3) assists the collector with accommodation that meets the requirements laid down in the Health Protection Act (763/1994), as well as appropriate food supply;
      4) assists the collector an inspected fleet of vehicles available for the collector to travel to the collection sites and transport natural products;
      5) assists the collector with tools and equipment needed for berry collection;
      6) ensure that the valid minimum purchase prices of natural products and the costs charged to the collector are known to the collector, and already before the collector's arrival in Finland, in the case of an operator who, when applying for a visa, invites the collector to the country;
      7) keep the authorities' contact information available to the collectors for the purpose of providing feedback on the operator of the natural product collection sector; who, when applying for a visa, invites the collector to the country;
